It aims to train qualified human resources to carry out academic-assistance activities that comprise teaching career, research and activities in the area of pharmaceuticals and medicines, to take advantage of the Amazonian biodiversity for the purpose of technological development of herbal and phytocosmetic medicines. In addition, it aims to contribute to the training of professionals working at the levels of governance, management, development and sustainability regarding the promotion of the rational use of medicines in the context of the public and supplementary Unified Health System (SUS).

Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care
Clinical Pharmacy aims to promote the rational use of medicines, in which pharmacists provide care to the patient, in order to optimize pharmacotherapy, promote health and well-being and prevent diseases. The pharmacist's clinical duties have opened horizons for the strengthening of the clinical pharmacy, these are connected with the pharmacist's social responsibility and can assume a strategic role in the awaited change in health. This Line aims to diagnose the current scenario, reflect and propose actions for the establishment of pharmaceutical care actions and the promotion of the rational use of medicines

Governance, Management, Development and Sustainability in Pharmaceutical Assistance
The management of the clinic as a subarea of health planning deals with the reorganization of the productive processes of the health care network, based on guidelines such as welcoming, bonding, accountability, right to health, centrality in the user, valorization of work and workers and management democratic. The adoption of clinical management knowledge and practices in work processes can enhance the productive processes using the recommended devices, of which the following stand out: reception with risk and vulnerability classification, expansion of offers, coordination of care (matrix support, integration between care levels, unique therapeutic project), reference teams, management colleges, expanded clinic, health care, etc.
